You must visit the springs of Stilos, walk around Plaka, visit Gavalochori full of traditional Cretan houses with preservation orders slapped on them, admire the unique lake of Kourna, the falling waters at Argiroupoli, and swim in the small gulps of Kokkino Chorio and admire the sunset.

Lake of Kourna is the only lake in Crete with fresh water. It lies at the foot of White Mountains with interesting fauna and flora. The Saint Irine Gorge, from the village of Saint Irene to Sougia. A very beautiful gorge too. (walk duration, 5 hours). 

The Lisos Gorge one hour from the harbor of Sougia to the ancient town of Lissos. 
The Aradena Gorge, from Anopoli Sfakion to the beach of Marmara, near to the picturesque village of Loutro. A really impressive gorge, with a mountain cut in the middle.(walk duration 1 hour and 15 minutes)
